The Irish Centre for High-End Computing (ICHEC) is the national High-Performance Computing (HPC) and Technical Computing centre in Ireland, established in late 2005 under the aegis of the National University of Ireland Galway (NUIG). ICHEC is a center of domain, systems and software expertise that provides high performance software solutions to industry, state bodies, academia and research centers through partnership, knowledge transfer, project delivery and service provision.
With its 28 staff, including 15 research-active application engineers, ICHEC has an active and highly regarded commercial services program, both partnering with and servicing industry, with an extensive portfolio of industry and public service clients and partners including Tullow Oil plc, Intel, General Motors, DataDirect Networks, Paddy Power, CADFEM, Met Eireann and the Central Statistics Office of Ireland.
As an SDAccel environment-qualified Xilinx Alliance Member ICHEC offers services to help worldwide clients enable, optimize and deploy OpenCL-based solutions on high performance low energy Xilinx FPGAs. With our dynamic team of engineers we offer SDAccel design services in the areas of finance, energy, life sciences and analytics.
